The Property Designer Business Opportunity

Property design can sound daunting, but property size, building and planning constraints, tend to result in most projects requiring a similar process. Creativity is key of course.

So, having direct access to a network of design specialists, in addition to other partners like yourself, is a massive advantage. Many design practices don’t have this.

As you progress in this business, skill level and tricks of the trade are reinforced, resulting in the ability to tackle each project to a higher standard and a lesser timeframe.

Typical day-to-day activities are:

  • Designing home extensions and other property projects (e.g. new dwellings, change of use, floorplans, refurbishments, reconfigurations).
  • Turning these designs into 3D models where needed, including videos & images. This is a real market differentiator.
  • Converting designs into professional 2D plans/ elevations.
  • Applying for the appropriate planning consent.
  • Building a complimentary network of local property professionals.
  • Potentially pursuing other local property opportunities (e.g. property development, plot finding and land development).

We recruit and then train joiners in 3 stages.

Joining fees are paid in 3 stages also, to match these.

Stage 1 – Core concept, property capture, business set-up and marketing/selling.

Stage 2 – Focusing on 3D modelling and building design.

Stage 3 – Converting plans to scaled 2D and planning applications.

Each stage allows you to set-up a fee earning local business in collaboration with our HQ and partner network. Naturally, we want you to progress to all 3 stages, and we work together to ensure you progress as far as your desire and skills allow.

Property owners needing design, plans and planning permission are currently left scouring local listings to try and find someone suitable.
